I had the same problem with my cap.

Brake reservoir cap leaking.

If there is a leak in the brake master cylinder then you can expect to pay an average of around 100 to 200 for the parts and 100 for the labor. It appears to be coming from the top and looks like its coming out around the threads of the master cylinder cap. It happens mostly when stationary and the vibrations from the engine cause the brake fluid to be turbulent in the reservoir. Locate the steel brake line on the plate where it screws into the wheel cylinder and use a line wrench to loosen the brake line fitting.

I dry the top of the master. Is the brake reservoir cap supposed to be. I now have a brake fluid leak from somewhere on the master cylinder. Prepare a vacuum hose to prevent brake fluid from leaking out of the steel brake line.
